Annual Transfer Day Was September 15

The Butte College Transfer Counseling Center hosted its annual Transfer Day event on Tuesday, September 15, on the Main Campus Lawn, 3536 Butte Campus Drive in Oroville, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Transfer Day was developed to help students interested in transferring to a 4-year college or university. Students looking to transfer to a specific college or just gathering information on a perspective college were able to speak to college representatives and see what their school has to offer. Butte College departments that offer Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) programs were on hand to discuss those programs that gave students admission priority at a CSU campus.

Butte hosted 21 colleges and universities, including those from 5 states. CSU, Chico had 12 different department booths to represent some of their popular majors. A total of 200 high school students were bused to campus to meet with university representatives, take a tour of the campus, and attend a presentation by UC, CSU, and the Transfer Counseling Center. Transfer Day was a free event and was open to the public.
