Open Auditions for Sweet Charity May 18 and 19

Calling all actors, singers, and dancers! The Butte College Theatre Department will have open auditions for its Fall musical, Sweet Charity. Auditions will be held Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. at the Butte College main campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, ARTS Building, Black Box Theatre.

As part of the audition, you will be required to prepare a Broadway standard song (in the style of Sweet Charity). There will also be a dance portion to the audition where students will be taught choreography. Please bring comfortable clothes that you can dance in.

With the score by Cy Colman, book by Neil Simon and original choreography by Bob Fosse, this quirky romance includes musical theatre favorites, "If my friends could see me now," "There' s Gotta Be Something Better Than This," and most iconic dance numbers "Big Spender" and "Rich Man's Fog" in Broadway history.
